Loy Krathong is one of Thailand’s most famous festivals. The date is different each year as it is determined by the Thai lunar calendar. This year 2015, Loy Krathong Day falls on November 25.

In Thai, Loy means to float and Krathong means a circular floating object. We normally make Krathong with various parts of banana trees, for example, leaves and truck. However, on top of that we also decorate Krathong with flowers, candles and incense sticks.
